As a Rutgers fan I can guarantee you that you have no idea what real choking is; after all, we've now lost to you 13 years in a row. Direct all your current negative vibes at the Okies rather than at yourself. Things will get better -- you'll beat us again next year.
You have never lost to a 4-7 Pitt team, at home, at night, with a national championship berth on the line. With all due respect, we are much bigger chokers than you are.
For historical reference, check every big game, other than the Sugar Bowl in 2005, in West Virginia football history.
1988 Notre Dame 1993 Florida 1996 Miami 1998 Ohio State 2004 Virginia Tech 2004 Boston College 2004 Pitt 2006 Louisville 2006 USF 2007 USF 2007 Pitt
The list could go on, but I'm running out of whiskey in which to drown my sorrows.
But yes, we'll beat you again next year.
On a serious note, thanks for the support. I think all WVU fans pull for Rutgers to do well, and the flipside is certainly appreciated. It's just that these are times of deep, crippling despair.
You don't need to log in to post. I found that to be a pain in the ass when I didn't have a User Name and such. It does only take a second though, so you might as well not be a gash and just do it.
